How to check your handset compatible with BSNL 4G

First check your mobile compatibility for BSNL 4G network through SMS and then alter your mobile settings to access 4G services

  1. Find the IMEI Number of your Mobile handset by typing *#06# in dial pad

    You will get 15 digit IMEI number, If two IMEI numbers you are getting, then use the first one only.

  2. Send SMS as KYM <IMEI Number> to 14422

    You must send the text message without space and brackets from your Mobile Handset with above syntax

  3. Immediately you will get a reply to check for BSNL 4G compatibility of your mobile handset

    If the reply contains “LTE FDD Band 1” then your mobile handset is compatible to BSNL 4G services.

Why i am not getting BSNL 4G on my mobile even my mobile compatible with the network?

1. Ensure that you are using a BSNL 4G SIM (Don’t have a BSNL 4G SIM? Get it at the nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre.
2. If you are using Dual SIM handset, Please always use BSNL 4G SIM in the first slot.
3. Please ensure mobile data pack activated for your mobile connection, and it can be checked via *124*2#, for main account balance and validity by dialing *123#.
4. Also check, whether your BSNL mobile data facility is activated or not, if not send an sms START to 1925 for activation.

Can we access BSNL 4G without selecting LTE network?

You must set Network mode in the Handset as “LTE Preferred mode” or “LTE/WCDMA/GSM (AUTO)” in the Network settings to access BSNL 4G high speed network

Can we activate any other BSNL 4G APNs in mobile

Please check your APN settings are upgraded with new APN and set to BSNL APN
1. Android APN can be set in Settings > Mobile networks > Access point Names > APN.
2. In iPhone Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Network.

    i’m using redmi note 4 mobile and bands:CDMA 2000,LTE FDD band 3,LTE FDD band 5,LTE TDD band 40,GSM 850 (GSM 800) GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, 2.4-2 GHz, WCDMA FDD band 1, WCDMA FDD band 2,but i’m not getting 4g signal why.

  4. Noone support by BSNL Team don’t use sim, they don’t need customer just taking money don’t ask for service.
    Below message received once sim is placed in REDMI NOTE 4.

    The terminal cannot be configured remotely, please contact Customer support for further assistance.

    Below are my mobile device’s bands and frequencies, Please check and advise whether my device is compatible for using BSNL 4G SIM.
    Bands: LTE FDD BAND 3 LTE FDD BAND 5, LTE TDD BAND 40, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, GSM 900, WCDMA FDD BAND 1, WCDMA FDD BAND8.

I am using Oppo A71 (2018), The area is included in the BSNL 4G services, Other mobile devices in the neighborhood are able to access BSNL 4G, But, after I switched to BSNL 4G (Sim 1 Slot), I am not getting 4G services, The strength of the mobile Internet signal is shown using the ‘E’ (EDGE) sign near the signal bar, I am getting the message “Your handset is not compatible”, But I am able to use Airtel 4G VoLTE in the same handset.

I am using Asus Zenfone selfie, and it is compatible with 4G – VOLTE (I tried with Jio sim – its working), How ever i have recently changed to 4G sim and able to get 4G data but 4G VOLTE services are not working and i have received a message saying my mobile handset is not compatible for VOLTE, Please suggest.

I am using REDMI note 8 pro, and it is compatible with 4G – VOLTE (I tried with Jio sim – its working), How ever i have recently changed to 4G sim and able to get 4G data but 4G VOLTE services are not working.
