I have recharge BSNL plan for 1 year with Rs 1699 on 16.07.2020, now from today the 12.08.2020, my out going, SMS, date all are stopped, Within 28 days Rs. 1699, has finished my BSNL, I m trying to consult with customers care, but it’s very difficult, unable to short out the problem, What kind of service is this, Can any one help me to short out the problem.

    • Hi, I am sharing my experience about the BSNL 1699 Plan which I I started paying Rs. 1699/– during the month of December 2019. Of late, my connection is deactivated, with my plan is having about 5 months time for the expiry of the Plan. I contacted the Customer Service of BSNL many times but was told that they didn’t have any record for my number. I represented my grievances to pg_tn@ bsnl.co.in on 30 Jul 20 but NO RESPONSE TILL DATE. Further to this, I am getting SMS frequently from BT-BSNNLCN ASKING ME TO RECHARGE TO RETAIN MY NUMBER. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY I SHOULD RECHARGE 5 MONTHS IN ADVANCE TO RETAIN MY NUMBER ONCE I ALREADY PAID Rs. 1699/– under 1699 Plan VALID FOR ONE YEAR. AND I DON’T WANT TO GO TO CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE SINCE I AM NOT DARE ENOUGH TO RISK MYSELF ON ACCOUNT OF COVID 19. I never faced such nuisance from Jio where I am getting Customer Service over phone or at my Door Step, if needed. I have decided not to opt for BSNL and waste my hard earned money any more

Well, be careful about what BSNL is suggesting, I recharged with the 1699 plan on December 27th that promised 3GB/day, but now, on January 9th 2020, my data is capped at 2GB/day (which is what they are offering now). It’s as if they are applying their plans retroactively, so maybe, in future, if you cut the cap further down you might be left with even less data cap.

    Maybe there was something in the fine print, but boy, this was the greatest example of “*conditions apply ” that I faced 🙁

  6. Net speed is very poor, Many web pages are not being opened, Same plan Rs 1699 of Jio is providing comparatively good speed, BSNL should check in the matter other wise this scheme is very bad for customer.

Sorry to say that now i regret for having recharged for 1699 plan, its very very slow and it works only with the speed of 2G only, sometimes less than that, i could not get frequency to book my cab, or do my online transactions or book tickets too, BSNL should really look into this matter, otherwise it would just be a failure.

I recharged with this plan before sept 13 and i was getting 4.2 gb per day(net speed was good even if the 4.2 gb is over) but now its reduced to 3.5 gb only per day, Now a days promotional offer is going on, it says 3.5 gb per day,(those who recharged during 4.2 gb offer are reduced to 3.5 gb?, When i called the customer care i am told that from 1st october its reduced to 3.5 GB per day .

  14. BSNL PLAN 1699 is really good and competitive, Such an initiative by a govt sector organization is often laudable, But the irony is bureaucracy spills water on the heat, They are slow, indifferent and careless,
    See the fate of the scheme how it meets the demand of the public? My mobile’s net with STV PLAN385 ended on the midnight of 10th Sept.
    A little after I tried to send SMS to 123 six times within a time gap of 50 minutes and later tried seven times within a gap of 15 minutes, Every time it is rejected with a message “operation failed, Please contact customer care” or “dialed access code is wrong.
    Kindly dial the correct access code.” When I approached BSNL at my town Chirala they said they don’t know the procedure how one can contribute to the plan from an existing credit balance and great advice was thrown on my face contact customer care.
    The person responding from 1503 the dialed number, to my query/enquiry is quite courteous, He is helpless as he says 123 is not working and he doesn’t know when that service will be corrected or restored, and on reading once again about 1699 scheme, I started dialing USSD code*444*1699# for more than 15 times within a gap of half an hour and reply message is “Try again-OK”, It is not any surprise or dismay, But the PUBLICITY is lot as compared to the attitude of SERVICE.
    Since the scheme offers additional 90 days up to 13th Sept19 as promotional days, will BSNL be good enough to serve the needy of this service and to put back in order SMS No 123 or USSD code to exhibit their interest in serving the public in its TRUE SENSE. Very good move by BSNL once the 4G technology be come on PAN India basis then real competition will begin with pvt telcos, I tell you friends TRAI is not regulating tariffs it is the govt owned BSNL only who is the actual regulator, and If the BSNL is closed due to any reason these pvt telcos will squeeze the public, then people will remember the BSNL.

My phone number is 9491069099 Andhra Circle, I took 1699 plan in June 99, I opted for this plan due to its validity on PAN india basis as I am frequent roamer to Mumbai, Now I went to Mumbai after taking that plan and observed that when I give any message to Andhra I am being charged .380 rupees, Please look into the problem and get my charges reversed at once.

  17. I have a 1699 prepaid plan, But calls to some bank customer care numbers do not go, It says it is chargeable but even if I say yes the calls and SMS do not go, Tell me what should I do?

    • Some premium numbers are chargeable (due to sharing basis between provider and end customer), so just recharge with some top up amount and continue the calls to that premium numbers.

  19. I’VE RECHARGE THIS PLAN OF RS.1699 ON 30.04.2019 AND AS PER THE PLAN I GET ALL THE BENEFITS, BUT FROM 1ST JULY I’M GETTING ONLY 2GB/DAY DATE INSTEAD OF 4.21 GB/DAY, I AM DATA CONSUMER SO RECHARGE ACCORDING TO THIS AND NOW I’M GETTING 2GB/DAY, THIS IS UNFAIR

  20. it is unfortunate that the extra 2.2 GB data is stopped for my mobile No.9440482849, when I recharged with 1699 in the month of fEBRUARY 2019, At that time, the BSNL advertised that the data per day is 4.2 GB, But it appears today that it is again 4.2 GB per day from today, I do not know why BSNL is doing like this, It shall be doubted whether there is any collusion with the private operators in order to get the customers migrated to other attractive plans of private operators, Any how, I demand the BSNL to continue data of 4.2 GB per day for all 1699 plans–T.S.RAYALU, ADVOCATE

  21. Why my daily data limit is reduced to 2GB /day instead of 4GB/day? This sudden reduction of data came into effect from 01/07/2019, No notice was given by BSNL, This is absolutely wrong, You may restore 4GB/day at once, My plan is annual under 1699 with effect from 16/12/2018.
