  9. Hi, I want to change my BSNL plan from current ‘BBG Speed Combo ULD 1091 CS70’ to a Fibernet Plan.
    1) Could you let me know how to go-ahead with this? Is it possible through self care portal?
    2) What is the hardware requirement, Currently I am having “Wireless N300 ADSL2+ Modem Router
    DSL‑2750B”. Will this be sufficient?

I changed the existing BSNL plan from 12 CUL to 22 CUL, In the latest bill I received there is a one time charge “BB – Plan Deposit-998412” for an amount of INR 300 and 18% GST, Could some one explain what the specific charge is? Its not security deposit for sure as there is no additional deposit when there is plan change, I changed the plan earlier and there was no additional charge before, this is the first time I am seeing this.

    • 12GB CUL requires 899 as security deposit, and 22GB CUL requires 1299 as ARD, so the balance amount of Rs. 300 raised in this bill after plan change.

As I changed plan from 2gb per day to superstar 300 dsl plan on 23rd of april and i got request number 8029273540 for service id 020 26613449 and say it will take 2-3 days for activation of new plan but from past 4days it didn’t get activated and check online from track my service the status says service order is created, So please tell me when it is going to activate the new plan

    • Approach your area commercial officer over contact number or mobile phone and ask them to approve your request.

      • BSNL portal is a storage of wrong information, online plan change is not possible without visiting their office, why then they write so on the portal ? Useless guys looting money for FTTH connection but no service, no speed, no body know how to activate Amazon prime membership or Hotstar membership with plan above 745 per month, there is no staff at BSNL to reply, all have taken VRS.

    At present I am being charged Rs.873.23 per month as per latest bill, but when I select change of tariff plan, the system says that you do not have any plans on this service id, My telephone number is 0431-2230526, Please advise me how to proceed to change my tariff plan online.

  14. in service type after selecting existing plan i click next button but it shows that select a broadband plan but there is no option for that.

  15. my telephone no is 0294 2451087 and i want to change my existing traffic plan of this bsnl post paid broad band no to latest minimum traffic post paid broad band plan only say rs 299 or rs 349 broadband plan from 1st oct 2019 other wise i may be forced to disconnect this connection which i am using more than 12 years till know .kindly confirm this to me by mail 0r mobile.

    • Kindly login to BSNL Selfcare portal and change your broadband plan or submit a request to concerned BSNL CSC for migration to other plan.

      • i have opted for annual fixed charges and paid the amount for the 2GB BSNL CUL plan and the validity is till 27/2/2021. so, if i change my plan, how am i going to be charged, will i get the refund if i opt for a cheaper one or how much more i need to pay if i opt a more expensive one, kindly reply soon

    1. Both Landline and Broadband Plan can be changed once a month, but for me it shows “plan can be changed only once a month”
    In Declaration it shows TELEPHONE NUMBER / SERVICE ID not showing the “LANDLINE OR BROADBAND” option
    How to change the plan now?

What is the process of cancellation of BB services alone and continuing with landline number, Have tried all options in your website under “modify Tariff”, there is no provision for cancellation of BB services alone, While changing plans it is asking to replace the BB plans too but i need cancellation not replacement,
    I have been trying for past few weeks, there is no email id provided for writing up the complaint, and your toll lines are not responsive too.

    • There is no option for closure of the services in Selfcare portal, so please send your written request to your concerned commercial officer through post/courier or by direct approach.

    I have tried to change my BB plan since two months but not been able to do it through self care portal
    Every time I try, the website says while changing the plan that your request is already there or something like that, but never happened, I am requesting BSNL to change my 08025834208 PostPaid BB plan(699/-) to BB BSNL CUL

      It is to suggest that, lodge a complaint at BSNL CMD and BSNL Corporate Facebook and Twitter pages, then automatically, the problems will be solved on priority, because i have solved like this only.

  23. I AM FRUSTRATED OVER BSNL BROADBAND. LAST MONTH I PAID ABOUT 7000/- FOR BROADBAND. RIGHT NOW MY SPEED IS BELOW 100 KBS AND EVERYDAY A MESSAGE IS COMING FOR TOP UP.THE DOCKET NO. IS 14949716372. SO FAR THE FIBRE OPTICS IS CONCERNED, I HAVE REGISTERED TWICE, WITH NO RESPONSE. FROM BANGLADESH, 90 % OF THEIR SPECTRUM IS SELLING TO INDIA AND THEIR LINE HAS BEEN INSTALLED NEAR AGARTALA, BUT OUR BSNL IS UNABLE TO CONNCT A FEW HUNDRED KMS. FOR LAST TWO YEARS.EVERY BODY IS WAITING FOR JIO TO START THEIR SERVICES IN REMOTE AREA OF ASSAM, SILCHAR.(I AM LIFE FELLOW OF IETE/IEEE)

Hi I have a BSNL broadband connection, I used to get a discount in my bill every month as my father is a retired BSNL employee, I wanted to change the broadband plan but the customer care executives are not giving me a right answer whether I will get the same discount if I migrate to other plans, Please Can anyone clarify this.

    • Yes, you will get 5% discount on broadband plan rental charges, even if you change to other plans,
      check the next coming bills, after the plan change, if not given the discount, then please approach commercial officer to configure the discount in your billing account again.

  27. After 24 days of giving letter for change of Broadband plan, I was informed that the request is cancelled. No one is giving the proper answer and every one is shifting the responsibility to other. worst ever service from the BSNL, very bad

    • There is no need to cancel the presented request by the authorities, just check why it is happened and also you can change the broadband plan in online through selfcare portal, escalate the same problem to BSNL CMD through facebook.

  28. Yes, the online option is great and convenient, but I had the unsavoury experience of my request not implemented in spite of an acknowledgement. Add to that, my BSNL complaints online were also closed without action. I had to write to the consumer grievances cell and then provide proof to BSNL before they acted, and wrote to me that the change was not effected due to “technical issues”.

    BSNL complaints registered are not showing what action is being taken. They are simply marked as “Resolved”. This is not proper. They should give details of their action. My complaints were marked as “Resolved” though the plan change was not effected.

    And, I was asked to pay the bill raised without effecting the requested plan change, since the rebate request is “under process”. I am waiting to know of the rebate, since I have not been informed of the action so far. That is how convenient BSNL online services are…
